	Holt House in 1977. This was the last year that the new administration building was used by the Zoo. Holt then was said to be used as a medical research facility. In the late 1980's or early 1990's the building was abandoned.
	Holt House was rediscovered in May 1997. It was like coming upon an ancient Mayan ruin. It was totally overgrown, shrouded in vines and inexplicably surrounded by shipping pallets.
	Gutters and drainpipes are clogged with vegetation causing damage to eaves and masonry failure. As of the summer of 1997, the gutters and drains have yet to be cleaned. Though the vines were removed, the vegetation was left to rot in the gutters.
