Pro-Trump attorney Lin Wood continues to promote conspiracy theories and misinformation at conservative events across the country, claiming at a Friday rally that no planes hit the Twin Towers or the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.
Wood rose to national prominence in late 2020 when he worked with attorney Sidney Powell and other Trump allies to bring unsubstantiated election challenges alleging the presidential election was “rigged” or “stolen” from former President Donald Trump. The lawyer has continued to spread misinformation about the election in recent months and propagated other bizarre conspiracy theories in conservative circles.
“Let’s talk about CGI – images generated by computer graphics. Do you know what CGI is? Do you know what deep fake videos are? I know you know what Photoshopping is, ”Wood said Friday in front of a crowd in Glynn County, Georgia. The conspiracy theorist went on to say that the infamous videos and photos of the 9/11 attacks were just CGI or deep fakes.
“On September 11, 2001, something that looked like an airplane hit a building, something that appeared to be another building like an airplane, and later that night another building collapsed. It wasn’t hit by a parrot thing, ”he said. Wood went on to claim that the Pentagon was “hit by a missile,” not an airplane. “Airplane fragments were not found at any of the locations – New York, Pennsylvania, the Pentagon.”
“There are no coincidences. We were played. We were played by people who are so evil that they killed 2,800 Americans for money that day – including police officers and firefighters, “said Wood. Then he called former President George W. Bush “a criminal” and said he should “go to jail”.
Wood shared clips of his remarks at the Georgia event on his Telegram channel. In a post on his channel, the lawyer said the crowd “wanted to hear the TRUTH about 9/11”.
“Lots of people in the country want to hear it. We ALL have to hear it and face it. We have to face the TRUTH, the good, the bad and the ugly, ”he wrote. “The TRUTH about 9/11 is ugly.”
If for a comment from. achieved News week On Saturday Wood said, “I talk about it to propaganda media like News week to write about it. “
Conspiracy theories about the 9/11 attacks have been rife for the past two decades. The terrorist attacks against New York City, Pennsylvania and Washington, DC were carried out by Al Qaeda agents at the behest of the then leader of the militant extremist group Osama Bin Laden. After the attacks, Bush started the ongoing war on terror, with bipartisan support from Congress.
Those who question or deny the official narrative of what happened on September 11th have been called “truthers” or part of the “9/11 Truth Movement”. Their claims were easily debunked, and planes definitely hit the World Trade Center in New York City as well as the Pentagon.
In late August, a judge ordered Wood to be expelled for baseless election avoidance suits he filed in support of Trump. Because of his behavior, he has already faced possible disciplinary action from the State Bar of Georgia.
