Sooners is offering one of DC 2024’s elite players

There’s been a lot of talk about the Oklahoma Sooners being more active in the Southeast, and with good reason. There are many talents in the Southeast.

However, it may come as a surprise to some that the increase in offers for athletes in the mid-Atlantic region has also increased. It makes sense for this team considering defensive tackles coach Todd Bates found success in the same region and Bryan Bresee, the number one overall in the class of 2020, still ended up at Clemson.

Now that he, Miguel Chavis and head coach Brent Venables are in Oklahoma, there’s no reason to think they’d stop scouting the area for talent. That being said, one of her latest offers to four-star rand Dylan Stewart of Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington DC shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone.

Stewart is built the way the Sooners want their defensive ends to look. Long, slim and a frame that can withstand extra weight. Stewart won’t be a junior until 2022 and is already 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds. He’s showing the versatility of playing indoors and outdoors, but looks like a prime candidate to be a certified college advantage.

Stewart becomes the ninth perk offered by the Sooners in the 2024 class and the sixth perk in the top 150. Miguel Chavis appears to be the primary recruit in this recruitment, with the likelihood of Todd Bates backing him.
