A residence that appears to be quite lacking has people scratching their heads after it was listed on the Washington, DC real estate market for $499,000.

On paper, the 2,497-square-foot, four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in the Anacostia neighborhood seems like a decent buy. But combing through the photos, one notices something pretty important – the interior appears to have burn damage.

“Investor alert!” the listing on says. “Great rehab opportunity in the Hot Anacostia neighborhood. The house has an in-laws suite, a block from the subway, a large garden, a great location. Value of similar homes up to $899,000. Come and see while you can!”

The house and its expenses caught the attention of #FridayNightZillow, a fun Twitter segment hosted by a Bloomberg reporter Steven Dennis.

“yikes”, one person said simply.

“That would be a fool renovation project…great potential to be a beautiful home again,” tweeted another.

“Vintage starter home…” someone said.

“Pretty sure someone just took graphics from one of the houses in ‘The Last of Us’ and made a Zillow list,” one joked.”
